In Ecuador, it is celebrated on March 21st, marking the start of autumn in the southern hemisphere and spring in the northern hemisphere. Ecuadorian Indigenous people view the Equinoccio as a time of balance, renewal, and new beginnings as the sun begins its northward journey.
